Like the anon said, I too adopted a adorable puppy from the Lied Shelter in 2004. The shelter closed in 2007 due to a Parvo outbreak but reopened as The Animal Foundation at the same Mojave Drive location. The people who volunteer/work at these shelters are very friendly and help you every step of the way when it comes to adoption. They even offer low-cost clinic services if you’re under a very tight budget!
