Hello, I’m new to the Vegas area and I’ve been living in Henderson (Green Valley) for a year now. I’m thinking about adopting a cat, but I hear lots of bad things about the Nevada SPCA. Just wondering if you know any reputable adoption centers?

Hi, I live in Vegas and work in the veterinary field.
The best place to save a cat’s life is to get one from Lied Animal Shelter - the cats that come from there really need help the most because they’re at the end of the line there.
The overpopulation of the cats in this city is shocking but the Nevada SPCA does the best they can with the numbers of animals they have and their staff and they do not euthanize. The same goes for the Humane Society volunteers, Foreclosed Upon Pets, Heaven Can Wait, and all other organizations that try to help homeless animals.
